Thanks for expressing an interest in participating in the KHOK Colgate Country Showdown.

The 100.7 Eagle Country event will be at the Crest Theatre in Downtown Great Bend, on Saturday, August 9th, 2008. The preliminary competition will begin at 3 PM.

We will schedule up to 10 performers per hour starting at 3 PM. You will be contacted about the hour in which you will perform. You will need to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled hour.  Each contestant will sing only one song during the preliminary round, if called back for the finals two songs will be preformed.   Your song from the preliminary round, may be repeated in the finals.

The top seven performers from the preliminary round will be invited back at 7 PM to perform in the finals. The winner of the finals will be declared the local winner and will move on to the state competition at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson.

100.7 Eagle Country will provide a professional PA system with the capability of playing CDs.  You will submit your CD to the technician with WRITTEN instructions about what you want played when. There will be NO back-up band provided. You are welcome to bring a band if you like, but anybody playing in your band may NOT compete as a solo performer or with any other act in the Showdown.

The next step is to obtain an entry form and return it with a $10.00 check or money order made out to SPI.

To get an entry form, you can come by our studios at 1200 Baker, Great Bend, Kansas and pick one up. You may also request a form be mailed to you over the phone (call 620-792-3647) or by e-mailing your address to andie.price@eagleradio.net  Your completed entry form must be returned with your entry fee by Friday, August 1st. You are welcome to submit a recording of you singing with your entry form and fee, but that is not required.
